Life Footprint~: 2 days at Catlins

5th March 2010

McLean Falls

State: Catlins, NZ

At the early morning we departed from the hostel straight toward to Catheral Cave, but we are not aware the cave will only available to access on 11am >.<

We knew the tide will falling from the morning, but we're not sure the time before we went there, finally we gonna wait for 2 hours for the gate to open.

Lucky, we pass by this McLean Falls before we arrived the cave, therefore we decided to visit the fall first while we are waiting for the access to cave.

一大早从暖暖的被窝中好不容易地爬起来，赶车到Catheral Cave看闻名胜地，谁知洞口上午11点才正式开门。幸好我们在来的时候途经McLean Falls，所以在等待‘洞闸’开之前，我们决定先参观一下没有在计划内的McLean Falls咯~

Ya, this is the McLean Falls. It doesn't look giant and it just a simple falls, but the nature of this simple place wake me up from sleepy, what a fresh and good morning ^^

这不过是一个不起眼的小瀑布，但旅者的心情在抵达这片垂手可得的纯洁大自然后是雀跃的，瞌睡虫都被赶跑了

It might look familiar like most of the post card that people sent to you before, but I can swear, you will never can imagine the real feeling until you are really here~

看起来很熟悉的图案，你甚至可以从很多杂志图片中看到过类似照片，但唯有真正的踏在这片土地上，你才会体会到这大自然带给你的震撼

Finally, we reach Catheral Cave. The water will comes up to the top of the cliff when high tide

终于到了Catheral Cave，只有在退潮后海水才会从悬崖处退下来

This is the part of the deep sea... The sea will fully cover this cave when high tide~

这就是洞口之所以出名的原因了，退潮后这洞口会完全显露出来。洞口已经那么高，退潮的海水量有多少才能空出这么大的洞口呢？

You can check it out by your observation, how much water need to fall back ward to empty the cave?

不是说影子应该都是瘦瘦长长的吗？

This cave is great, and my great dream comes true eventually

梦想实现了，跳得再高也表达不了真正欢愉的心情~

The home of the mussel, we can touch it without dive deep into the sea, how amazing of the nature world!

生长在海床的贻贝，在这里你可以不必懂得潜水也能看得到它的老家

它长满在整个洞底和洞壁

中午了，离开了Catheral Cave我们有路经Florence Hill

Such a beautiful beach doesn't it?

Right at the afternoon, great sun shine illuminated the big land and the coast side, the world was just shine in front of us. Well, it do mean it when people name this as 'Florence Hill'

不愧是被命名为‘佛罗伦萨’的山丘，如天上之作般的精巧

We arrived another famous place here at Catlins, the Purakaunui Falls

Definitely you see this picture before, people use to draw for their painting, if you do like to paint, I'm sure you even draw this before.

喜欢画画的人一定有看过这情景，即使你不曾亲眼看过，但你的画笔可能画过~

This is real, not the picture we download or copy, we went to this paradise before~

我们真的到过这如画似梦的地方，感动得每寸肌肤都在颤抖着~

After Purakaunui Falls walked, we left the water and pass by the green green grass, hi-bye to the sheep while they are busy on their daily 'work'

Early Autumn day time is still longer, we still have our time to visit more places, sorry to this beautiful view, we might can arrange another time to spend with you >.<

大概还有六小时的太阳吧~ 我们在赶路到别的地方参观，虽然这里也很不错，但我们不能停下来了，一路上这风景一直陪伴着我们抵达下一个目的地

Kaka Point

我其实已经累坏了，即使是带着墨镜开车，但还是觉得眼睛超累的....

There's a cafe at Kaka Point

Since we never eat anything after our breakfast, we decided to have our lunch here

As usual, I will order Fish & Chips, but there's two kind of fish that I can choose : Hoki & Blue Cod

According to Jason, he said Blue Cod is much more delicious~

And that's real

I know what's in your mind, too oily isn't it? That is the only thing we can eat, or else we gonna eat grass >.<>

都快要饿死了，哪里还管什么油不油腻的问题呢~

This is where we stay at Catlins, YHA

We choose here because of the garden view, although this picture doesn't show well at all >.<

But the gardens over there are beautiful all the while, they have many type of flower, bigger than human face, what a sham is, they didn't have my favorites flower, the Tulip, sigh...
