5th June - Mc Caig's Tower

Prepared to go out for a walk and met one of my dormmate Timo Rose right at the door

Have heard before Holland's people is the highest people in the world

Took a photo to proof that

Timo is 190cm, make a guess on my height? 

I met a Taiwanese who are ready to travel Scotland for a month in the backpacker

1st Asian friendship after 3 months travelling

Together we visit the famous tower in town today

The Mc Caig's Tower

Some historic need to be told before visit a place: The tower was once belong to Mc Caig family, the last heir of the family intended to build the tower as a grave place for his entire family over here, the highest place in town

However, the city and people of Oban doesn't like Mc Caig's project

They stopped the construction of the tower after he passed away

Therefore, this is an unfinished tower

High potential to become an antique castle in future, just like most castle in Scotland

Every Thursday night in Skippinish (a night club in Oban) will have a Scottish dance night

As a staff of Backpacker Plus (place we work exchanged), we can go in for free

Scottish music is quick tempo, Scottish dance can make you sweat in the winter
